The 2nd Annual Queen's Empire Ball, takes place on May 17th at Belmont University’s Fisher Center. The 2025 benefit adds an additional event to the experience, The Queen’s Afternoon Tea and Croquet.

Prepare to step back in time and immerse yourself in the glamour and elegance of the Regency era at the 2nd Annual Queen's Empire Ball, to be held on May 17th at Belmont University’s Fisher Center. The event is a fundraiser for the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, Tennessee.

Inspired by the beloved Bridgerton series, this enchanting fundraiser promises an evening of grandeur and sophistication in support of the museum. Guests will don their finest Regency era attire as they mingle amidst the stunning backdrop of the Fisher Center, transformed into a scene straight out of 19th century London.

Entertainment will transport attendees to a bygone era, including a string quartet, a classical violinist adding a modern twist with hip-hop selections arranged in Regency style, a magician, a troupe from Curtsy Ballroom demonstrating traditional Regency era dances before inviting guests to join in the merriment. Guests will be announced by a traditional town crier, adding to the authenticity of the experience, and a horse-drawn carriage will be available for professional photo opportunities.

An additional highlight of the 2025 event will be the Queen’s Afternoon Tea and Croquet, a daytime affair featuring a delightful menu of finger sandwiches, pastries, scones, and signature treats. Attendees will be able to browse the Bridgerton inspired vendor area for a once in a lifetime shopping experience and enjoy a rousing game of Croquet (or Pall-Mall as it was called during the regency era) and other period appropriate games and activities.

Her Majesty Queen Charlotte (portrayed by actress Erica Barr) and her illustrious court will lead the festivities, including the much-anticipated Queen's Promenade. Guests will indulge in exquisite cuisine, sip on signature adult beverages, and peruse the latest edition of Lady W’s social papers, brimming with gossip and news from the city's aristocratic circles.

And with lively fashions expected to grace both the ballroom, and Belmont breezy Freedom Plaza, a list of retailers specializing in period garb is available on the event website for those seeking the perfect ensemble.
Produced by CHOMCO Events, sponsors include Curtsy Ballroom, the Nashville Scene and 92Q Radio.
Don't miss your chance to be part of this unforgettable occasion celebrating history, culture, and community at the Queen's Empire Ball and Afternoon Tea. Let the games begin!
