London-based investor and philanthropist Saif Durbar has been investing for a very long time. Now the CEO and founder of Bridge Africa Counselage is celebrating a big milestone in his career: Saif Durbar has been involved in the African business markets for 20 years.
African business markets have long been a tricky thing and a source of frustration for many investors, but Saif Durbar seems to have found his way in for the long haul. Perhaps it is his unique combination of talents, integrity, passion for the job, and expertise that have enabled him to succeed where so many others have failed. Perhaps Saif Durbar is just lucky. However, he would argue otherwise: “Luck has nothing to do with it,” he says. “It takes a certain set of skills, and a certain approach, and a great deal of patience, and a great deal of negotiation. Luck does not play a part.”
Saif Durbar knows what it takes to be a successful investor, something he has been doing for as long as he has been in business. He attributes his successes to his uncompromising attitude toward achieving despite all odds, as well as maintaining an impeccable reputation for integrity and fair dealing. “There is no other secret formula for success,” Saif Durbar says. “Simply put, success is achieved due to hard work, dedication and integrity. There are no shortcuts.”
Saif Durbar is the founder and CEO of Bridge Africa Counselage, a company which provides consulting services to companies looking to benefit from Saif Durbar’s extensive African market experience to gain a foothold in these difficult markets for themselves. Saif Durbar has been helping companies, governments, institutes and other businesses in this capacity for a long time, as well. Throughout his 20 years in business, Saif Durbar has maintained the same high standard for business dealings and close relationships with his clients.
In addition to Saif Durbar’s experience in the African business markets, he has been contributing to the betterment of the region through his philanthropic organization, Kutamani, which provides educational tools for the future for African students all throughout the area.
