Ramdai Bachoo is excited to announce that this year marks the fifteenth year that she has been in practice as a veterinarian, and is pleased to be celebrating this landmark achievement today. For Ramdai Bachoo, working with animals in the capacity that she does is a dream come true, and truly shows her love of and appreciation of all creatures.

Ramdai Bachoo focuses her practice on exotic animals, though she does treat any domesticated pets. For Ramdai Bachoo, working in exotic pet care is a specifically rewarding experience because many pet owners of birds, snakes, reptiles and small rodents, or even rabbits are concerned that they will not find the proper pet care with just any animal doctor. It is for this reason that Ramdai Bachoo loves working with exotic pets and devotes much of her practice to it.

Outside of her veterinary work, Ramdai Bachoo devotes much of her life to animal welfare and advocacy. She plans to embark on a service trip to the Dominican Republic later this year to provide healthcare to animals in remote locations, where people do not have access to treatment for their pets, companion animals, and even livestock and work animals that they should. Ramdai Bachoo also gives to charity, with her first donation to a local pit bull rescue taking place earlier this year. Ramdai Bachoo plans to make this an annual donation.

Finally, Ramdai Bachoo is deeply invested in bettering the lives of animals everywhere that are subjected to research scenarios. According to Ramdai Bachoo, while these animals do not face the same deplorable conditions that they once faced decades ago, there is still work to be done to ensure the wellbeing of each and every animal that must be used for research or testing. For Ramdai Bachoo, an enormous component of her work is making sure that laboratory animals receive the proper care and treatment that she truly believes they are entitled to.

Of this lifetime achievement, Ramdai Bachoo says, “I have no plans on stopping anytime soon. My private practice is just one aspect of the work I do, but everything I do, I do because of my passion for animals.” Ramdai Bachoo has a private practice for veterinary health in San Francisco.
