Lifetime Achievement: Jeannie Suzanna Pate Completes 15th Year as Pediatric Nurse

Jeannie Suzanna Pate, a Seattle-based pediatric nurse, is celebrating her fifteenth year as a respected medical professional.

 
Pediatric nursing is one of the most challenging specialties within the nursing field. Children experiencing illness or injury require special attention and monitoring as their bodies struggle to fight illness. Jeannie Suzanna Pate, an experienced pediatric nurse based in Seattle, loves her career and the opportunity to positively affect the lives of children in need. Jeannie Suzanna Pate is celebrating her 15th year as a pediatric nurse, a lifetime accomplishment.

Jeannie Suzanna Pate reports that her motivation to become a nurse was primarily due to her personal struggles with diabetes. At the young age of six, Jeannie Suzanna Pate was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, a battle she has been fighting ever since. When asked about her struggles with diabetes, Jeannie Suzanna Pate had this to say: “Controlling the symptoms of diabetes is a daily battle. It requires constant attention and a dedication to leading a healthy life.”

In her work as a pediatric nurse, Jeannie Suzanna Pate works with children who are coping with a range of illnesses. Jeannie Suzanna Pate enjoys caring for children in their time of need and is a positive role model for other professionals. When asked about her favorite part of nursing, Jeannie Suzanna Pate had this to say: “I really enjoy providing education to families and I always like helping a suffering child crack a smile.”

In addition to nursing, Jeannie Suzanna Pate enjoys staying active and volunteering. Jeannie Suzanna Pate reports that she spent a lot of time as an adolescent volunteering in nursing homes. Jeannie Suzanna Pate’s compassionate nature extends to animals as well. As a strong advocate for animal rights, Jeannie Suzanna Pate regularly contributes to local animal welfare organizations in order to help save the lives of homeless and abused animals.

Although Jeannie Suzanna Pate enjoys working as a pediatric nurse, she is aware of the need for skilled medical professionals in underdeveloped countries. Because of her desire to help others, Jeannie Suzanna Pate plans to join the Peace Corps before furthering her nursing education. Regarding her future, Jeannie Suzanna Pate had this to say: “I look forward to becoming a nurse educator after the Peace Corps.”
