John Groh Supports Many Charity Organizations

Although John Groh is most widely known as a seasoned businessman with a long career at Election Systems & Software, he has also devoted time to working with charitable organizations within his community.

 
Over the years, John Groh has become a valued member of his community in Omaha, Nebraska thanks to his commitment to supporting both local and international charity organizations. John Groh and his family are dedicated to identifying valuable organizations and providing assistance in any way they can.

For the last 20 years, John Groh has contributed as a Bridge Builder level to United Way. In addition to offering financial assistance to the organization, John Groh has actively participated in a number of different events. For instance, John Groh chaired the Fremont Area United Way campaign in 1995, which allowed the organization to expand and attract more attention. In addition, John Groh has regularly participated by helping to organize company-wide fundraising events.

John Groh is a Century Club Member at the YMCA and has consequently donated significant funds in support of various expansion projects within his community. Again, John Groh has been an active participant with the YMCA, where he was an adult leader in the youth organization and often managed organizing fundraising events. In addition, John Groh served as a youth basketball coach as well as a basketball and baseball referee for youth leagues.

In addition, John Groh has contributed financially to many charitable organizations in his area, including the University of Nebraska Chancellor Club, the Aksarben Scholarship Program, the Fremont Habitat for Humanity, the Fremont Area Community Hospital, the Nebraska Humanities Council, and NET Public Radio. “By supporting all of these different organizations, I hope that I am able to build a stronger community in Nebraska,” comments John Groh. “Each of these organizations has the potential to make a big difference in our citizens’ daily lives.”

John Groh also works with international charity organizations, including Starfish One-by-One. Through this program, John Groh and his family are responsible for providing the funds necessary to support a young woman in Guatemala. As her sponsor, John Groh and his family are committed to providing the money necessary for her education all the way through high school. “Even though our family can’t provide relief for every child in the world, this program allows us to ensure that one more girl has an excellent education,” comments John Groh. “We hope that this education will prepare her for success and a better quality of life as she becomes an adult .”
