Howard B. Keck Jr., a grower of table grapes and a resident of California, announces the twenty-first anniversary of the launch of Brighton Distributing Inc., an agribusiness located in Van Nuys, California.

Howard B. Keck Jr. has patents on grapevines, including the Brighton 650 grapevine and the Keck Seedless grapevine, which both yield table grapes. Table grapes are eaten daily by millions of people. Howard B. Keck Jr. and his company have been a part of the agricultural community for over two decades.

Table grapes are intended to be eaten raw and are used in fruit salads and other edible concoctions. Table grapes have a sugar content of approximately 15%, whereas wine grapes have a sugar content of roughly 24%. Wine grapes have a thicker skin than table grapes, which is beneficial to the production of wine.

Howard B. Keck Jr. has bred different varieties of table grape having produced grapevines for more than two decades.

Howard B. Keck Jr. patented the Brighton 650 grapevine in 1986. Howard B. Keck Jr. is also owner of the Keck Aerolease Center at Van Nuys airport. Howard B. Keck Jr. has a commercial pilot’s license with multiple ratings.

Howard B. Keck Jr. is a member of the Board of Overseers for the USC Keck School of Medicine, a Trustee Emeriti of the Board of Trustees at the Keck Graduate Institute at Claremont, and a director of the W.M. Keck Foundation. Howard B. Keck has made financial donations to the Planes of Fame aircraft museum, which has locations in Chino, California and Valle, Arizona. Howard B. Keck is licensed to fly Citation jets, DC-3’s, and A26 Invaders.
