She currently works as a Research Specialist, and worked as a Research Associate prior to this new position. Harjot Sidhu of Fargo’s history in research is as impressive as it is comprehensive. She started working for North Dakota State University’s research department in 2010, and has held several different positions during her three-year employment with the university. Harjot Sidhu of Fargo started out as a Lab Assistant, and has worked her way through the positions of Lab Technician, Research Associate, and her current Research Specialist role.

For Harjot Sidhu of Fargo, research in the agricultural and biosystems engineering field is more than just a job she does every day. She feels passionately about this branch of research, as she is able to work with plants on a highly intensive molecular level. Not many people are able to pursue such research opportunities, so Harjot Sidhu of Fargo feels fortunate that she has been able to follow this interest. She explains, “I feel so lucky to be able to work at North Dakota State University, as I’ve gained experience in a highly specialized and coveted field of research.”

Indeed, agricultural and biosystems engineering is not an easy field to get into. Prospective students and researchers must hold the highest commitment to their work, as they work with advanced techniques that can take years to master.
