Doug Sailors has a diverse and successful background in business. He became a business leader in 1986 and it wasn’t until 2002 that his passion for assisting nonprofits was truly discovered. His past management and leadership experiences, including vice president and president, left Doug Sailors with an impressive sense of duty and responsibility. Donating his time to nonprofits brought a renewed sense of purpose to Doug Sailors’ life and he was eager to do as much as possible to help nonprofits get established, grow, and thrive.

One of Doug Sailors’ most important nonprofit ventures was the time he donated to the Phoenix Project Organization. The Phoenix Project Organization provides mental therapy and motivational education to victims and survivors of breast cancer. Doug Sailors donated his time and expertise in helping the Phoenix Project Organization, ensuring their legal filings were in order and helping them establish an organizational structure. “It was very rewarding to work with the people at the Phoenix Project Organization,” Doug Sailors was quoted as saying. “It’s a great organization with a great cause, and full of great people.”

Doug Sailors has also donated time to the American Cancer Society, both in assisting the society with their operations and in his capacity as a talented pianist. Doug Sailors played piano at two annual October Breast Cancer functions as a volunteer.

In 2007 Doug Sailors was hired by a firm that manages several nonprofit organizations as a contractor. Due in large part to his work with this management company, the charities the company manages have been able to provide $18 million in programs and services since 2007. Doug Sailors’ work with this company has been a highlight of his recent achievements. “What we have accomplished together is truly special,” he was quoted as saying. “I am proud of the work I have done and the results we have been able to get together, and confident we will be able to achieve even more going forward.”

Doug Sailors says that he will never stop seeking ways to donate his time and energy to helping those less fortunate, whether through nonprofit work or through other channels.
