Turan Sahinkaya won the prestigious, company-wide Global Award of Distinction at AT&T for his work developing a sales tracking program that saved the company a million dollars. This program organized all sales data in one place that users could access and make changes to company-wide. This innovation saved a million dollars for the company because of its innovative interface that created avenues for all users to get the sales information they needed to improve the service and sales data. Sahinkaya says that he couldn’t have developed this software without the hard work of the team he directed. Sahinkaya’s award is the result of many years of hard work with the company and his years of service toward making AT&T a more efficient company as a whole.

Turan Sahinkaya joined AT&T in 2000 after working as a business consultant for several world famous, Fortune 100 companies including Accenture and Oracle. He saved these large companies millions of dollars with his financial and business savvy, combined with his natural predilection for computer programming and writing software. Sahinkaya created opportunities for growth for many of his clients, and his business savvy style earned him many distinctions throughout his long career, which landed him a senior management position at one of the largest communications companies in the world.

Turan Sahinkaya works hard in his community as well as for his corporate employers. He donates time and money to many local and national charities by giving money and organizing fundraising events. He is a regular organizer of the Memorial Hoop Night basketball charity event fundraiser, a three on three tournament in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area, with proceeds going to American Cancer Society. Sahinkaya is also a regular donator to the Goodwill Corporation, the American Heart Association, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure. He has also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, mentored troubled children with the YMCA, and has given time and resources to many more local charities. Sahinkaya is proud of his family and their work in the community, and he hopes to contribute much more time and money to worthy causes throughout his career at AT&T.
