Millions of people plan vacations every year. For those uncomfortable with long travel, domestic vacations are more than enough to take a break from home, work, and other stressful responsibilities. For the more adventurous crowd, international vacations are more satisfying and thrilling. Maki Kamimura is among the crowd that finds international travel and vacations more exciting.

Maki Kamimura is already interested in cultures besides her own. She loves the Japanese culture but aspires to learn about many others. Her future hope is to travel the world. “I would love to visit popular destinations in Europe, Asia, and South America,” says Maki Kamimura. While she may not spend much time in each location, she does plan on spending plenty of time in her three dream locations.

“My dream vacations would take place in New Zealand, Fiji, and Australia,” says Maki Kamimura. Each location drew Maki Kamimura’s attention because of its popularity as travel destinations but also the recreational activities available in each location.

At the top of her dream vacation list is New Zealand. “The landscape of New Zealand is gorgeous,” says Maki Kamimura. Many people were introduced to New Zealand as a travel destination after the Lord of the Rings films popularized the country. “I hope to visit some of the places scenes from the movie were filmed. But I want to do more there too,” says Maki Kamimura. There is plenty of water recreation as well as fining to do in New Zealand.

Fiji was one destination that also interested Maki Kamimura. In Fiji, Maki Kamimura admits she would probably spend most of her vacation on the beach or in the water. A popular activity when vacationing in Fiji is scuba diving and Maki Kamimura hopes to explore the coral reefs of Fiji for herself.

Australia is a country many Americans are familiar with. “I’ve dreamt about vacationing in Australia for a long time,” says Maki Kamimura. Australia is visited by millions of tourists every year and efforts to preserve the wonder of the country keep tourists coming. Maki Kamimura admits she wants to tour into the wilds of Australia to see some of the nation’s unique and beautiful wildlife.
