Smoking is known to cause or worsen coronary heart disease, stroke and a variety of other cancers and diseases. It can have other surprising effects on the body as well. Yellowing of the fingers and teeth, chronic bad breath, premature wrinkles, consistent smoke smell in the hair, early menopause, erectile dysfunction and even infertility can all be caused by cigarette smoking.

While quitting can be extremely difficult, it is one of the best decisions you can make. Even if you have been smoking for years, quitting will improve the quality and length of your life for you and those around you. There are many different options now available for smoking cessation. These can be medical like patches, gum, pills or inhalers or non-medical like therapy, hypnotism and quitting cold turkey. No matter how you attempt to quit, keep at it and you will see a huge difference in your life.
