Tambi Renee offers a few points of information to help pet owners pick the right pet food for their animals.

Tambi Renee is pleased to take this opportunity to discuss an important passion of hers: the wellbeing of animals. Since childhood, Tambi Renee has worked hard to care for animals and ensure that they have good homes and live healthy lives. One area that Tambi Renee has recently been focusing on is the care and feeding of pets, specifically related to pet food on the market today.

“Unfortunately, the food - if you can call it that - that is marketed toward pets is often of extremely low quality and tends to contain many ingredients and potential contaminants that can drastically affect the health of cats, dogs, and other pets,” remarked Tambi Renee, “Essentially, what goes into pet food is often the ingredients that would be considered inedible or even harmful for humans. And why would you feed something to your pet that you wouldn’t be willing to eat yourself?”

Tambi Renee points to the standards of grading as one indication of the problem with most commercial pet food. Most pet food is made out of meat and ingredients that are not consider fit for human standards: meat that comes from animals that are already dead or have diseases, ingredients that have fallen on the floor, waste products from the slaughtering process, and so on.

“In addition to these poor quality ingredients, most commercial pet foods also contain additives and preservatives that take away from the overall nutrition of the product,” commented Tambi Renee, “The standards on the creation and processing of pet foods are also more lax than the standards for human food, which is one of the leading causes of contamination in foods made for animals. You’ve probably noticed how frequent recalls of pet food are and that is because of these low standards of the ingredients and processing that goes into pet food.”

Tambi Renee highly recommends buying pet food that is only made from human-grade ingredients, is free of additives, and is as close to whole, natural food as possible. Says Tambi Renee, “Diet is one of the cornerstones of good health. If you try to eat healthy food, it only makes sense that you would feed your pet healthy food.”
