For many years, the primary option for Conducted Energy Weapons (CEW) was provided by the Taser brand name and was fashioned in the rough shape of a standard firearm. Steven M. Abboud has worked at PhaZZer Electronics, Inc. since 2007 as the Head of Product Research and Development, designing alternatives to the Taser brand of CEWs to provide more flexibility to law enforcement personnel. The PhaZZer brand CEWs were designed to discharge various types of alternative cartridges, including pepper powder cartridges and rubber ball cartridges, to offer greater versatility to officers. Multiple cartridge options are only the beginning for PhaZZer and Steven M. Abboud, however.
PhaZZer Electronics, Inc. is continuing to expand its offerings of less-lethal firearm alternatives. In addition to their more traditional CEW, the Enforcer, PhaZZer now offers the Raptor model of CEW. Shaped similar to the M16 family of combat rifles, the Raptor is a semi-automatic model of CEW which accepts a similar variety of cartridges as other PhaZZer brand firearm alternatives.
The Raptor isn't the only other model of CEW that PhaZZer Electronics offers, however. Other products in the PhaZZer line of less-lethal alternatives include the Scorpion, a pocket-sized stun gun with a 3000KV output, and the Dragon, which combines the size and style of a more traditional, personal stun gun with the cartridge versatility of the PhaZZer Enforcer. The PhaZZer personal stun gun, named the Titan, also delivers a 3000KV shock and includes a blinding LED light for added protection.
Steven M. Abboud works closely with law enforcement on the development of PhaZZer products like the Enforcer and the Raptor to ensure the result is most effective for law enforcement applications. However, Abboud knows how important it is to offer a range of options in less-lethal firearm alternatives. As a result, he seeks out new opportunities to improve his current products and the ammunition cartridges for them while still developing new, unique versions of traditional alternatives.
