Sam Gray of Boulder, CO receives notice of acceptance into the Peace Corps

After completing an extensive application process, Sam Gray of Boulder, CO is happy to announce that he has achieved his dream of being accepted into the Peace Corps. Following a lifetime spent finding ways to give back to the community and be an active participant in the world around him, Sam Gray of Boulder, CO is thrilled to join forces with an organization renowned for its commitment to bettering the human condition.

Although many people are unaware of this, joining the Peace Corps is actually an intensive application process. Sam Gray of Boulder, CO needed to have already obtained extensive volunteer experience and have demonstrable skills in the areas in which he was interested in volunteering. Moreover, Sam Gray of Boulder, CO needed to stay focused on his academic career, as those with Bachelor’s degrees have a much higher chance of being accepted into the Peace Corps.

Now that he has officially been accepted into the Peace Corps, Sam Gray of Boulder, CO is excited to begin working with the Community Economic Development section. This section of the Peace Corps is especially relevant to Sam Gray of Boulder, CO, because it allows him to apply his studies in economics and international affairs to his passion for helping his community and those around him. Community Economic Development differs from ordinary Economic Development in that it focuses on helping individuals and families take control of their own economic futures, rather than having some larger organization do it for them.

“This is a really fantastic opportunity for me to really learn about community organization and the ways in which economics fit into that,” Sam Gray of Boulder, CO says. “It’s not just about how economics work – it’s about how we can use economic theories to help people and change lives.”

Sam Gray of Boulder, CO does not yet have a firm date of deployment, so he plans to spend the interim time between his recent graduation and his departure brushing up on his foreign language skills and preparing as best he can for his move. He is excited to be moving to a brand new region, and for all the opportunities that volunteering for the Peace Corps holds.
