Renowned Researcher Named Associate Director of Research Center

Sam W Lee, a well-known researcher in the field of cancer biology, has been named the Associate Director of the MGH/Harvard Cutaneous Biology Research Center

 
Sam W Lee has worked with cancer research teams for many years, continually striving to learn more about the biology of cancerous cells and how to combat them more efficiently. Recently, Sam W Lee was named the Associate Director at the renowned MGH/Harvard Cutaneous Biology Research Center, or CBRC for short. As the Associate Director, Sam W Lee will be in charge of a team of researchers and physicians who work tirelessly to understand cancer's behavior in patients. Sam W Lee's work with the CBRC will include research in cell and molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, and developmental biology. Sam W Lee hopes that the research done at the CBRC will produce new understandings and techniques that will turn the tide in the fight against cancer and other diseases.

As the Associate Director, Sam W Lee will be in charge of financial and administrative functions for the Center and will also be expected to work in recruitment and promotions. Sam W Lee's wide range of responsibilities within the CBRC allows him to have a direct hand in many of the ongoing processes at the Center. Sam W Lee is able to directly impact hiring decisions and assignments for the different researchers and physicians employed by the CBRC. Through this direct influence, Sam W Lee can ensure that each researcher is being given tasks that fall within their stated area of expertise. Sam W Lee does this to make sure that the Center's resources and personnel are being used as effectively as possible to complete the mission of the center.

When asked about his leadership position, Sam W Lee was humble, saying: “I am excited to have the opportunity to lead this research center. I hope that under my leadership, we will continue to grow and produce excellent results.”

Sam W Lee has also engaged the CBRC in a teaching program and has created a set of seminars, tutorials, and workshops to help faculty members and doctors learn more about the research going on in the Center. Sam W Lee hopes that this will prepare these individuals to better serve their communities and fight the diseases that are being researched more effectively.
