Peter Virden was born in September 1963 to his loving parents in Greenville Mississippi. Growing up in the City of Greenville, Peter became somewhat of an outdoorsman, a trait fostered and nurtured by his father, who also had an affinity for exploration. Though small, Greenville offered a great place to raise a child, instilling Peter with all of the southern values of patience and understanding that are so highly valued today. Peter says that his time in the small town is full of great memories, and those experiences molded him into who he is today.

As any engineer will tell you, especially Peter Virden, the key to a successful career in any field, is a proper education, one that helps to instill you with not just the information you need, but the ethics and morals to help you prosper and grow personally and professionally. The importance of an education can never be overstated, that is why Peter's father was so avid about his son pursuing his own higher education when he finished high school. Peter attending Mississippi State University graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1988. Thanks to Peter's natural mathematics aptitude, as well as commitment and personal drive, he was able to overcome the rigorous engineering program at Mississippi State, something few others can say. Peter says his success in school was accredited to a strong work ethic, and just believing that he could accomplish it.

As Senior Environmental Manager of FC&E Engineering, it is Peter Virden's job to assure that all of the professionals he supervises are working in an effective and efficient manner to finish the task at hand. Peter helps perform projects for a wide variety of industrial, municipal, state and commercial facilities. Peter's contributions to FC&E Engineering allow for continued and growth in all aspects of the company. Peter's clients have confidence in his ability to not just meet goals, but to exceed them. Peter's exceptional performance of his task is indicated by key-clients repeatedly contacting FC&E to perform additional environmental engineering and compliance project work. Peter says that by understanding the strengths of his team, they can work together to ensure that projects are completed within the range of the highest standards of quality and safety for not just their community, but the nation at large.
