Nicole Dew is a person who loves the Windy City. She loves her daily commute into the city, no matter what time of year it is. Chicago may be cold and windy, however it is very alive and warm in the deepest of its core, with people who are friendly and stimulating to edge with in conversation; pizza that is so deep it requires a fork and knife to cut; architecture that reflects the ambitions of great men and America’s history; and most of all, sports teams that reflect a great amount of success. Below, Nicole Dew shares the accomplishments of her Chicago sports teams that make her proud to brag about her city’s athletes.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears may have had a rough last few seasons, however this year they are 3-1 on the road so far; and Jay Cutler has come out of hiding to be one of the better quarterbacks in the game. She has high hopes for them this year; and although she doesn’t think they’ll see a Super Bowl, perhaps they will get something out of a few playoff wins. A strong playoff performance could really alter the momentum for the team, and give them the confidence they need to become a powerful team again.
Chicago Bulls
The Bulls’ present hasn’t been too glorious; however their past with Michael Jordan still keeps them as one of the most memorable franchises in all of professional basketball. Nicole Dew still goes to many Chicago Bulls games, and cannot wait till the day they gain back some momentum and start bringing home some more championship titles. Until then, she will be in the stands waving her foam finger and cheering on her favorite basketball team.
Chicago Blackhawks
Nicole Dew loves hockey, and can talk about the Chicago Blackhawks all night. She thinks they have a very strong outfit this year and that they were robbed of a Stanley Cup in the past few years. But with other strong competitors coming out like the Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings and more, who knows what the future holds for the Chicago Blackhawks this year. All Nicole Dew knows, is that she will be in the front row to see how things turn out.
