Nicholas Dematteis believes in helping others in every way he is able. He is a trained architectural engineer with 15 years of experience working for the City and County of Boulder, Colorado. In 2015, he opened his own architectural engineering firm and donates several hours of pro bono work to Habitat for Humanity.
Nicholas Dematteis grew up in Denver, and has lived in Boulder, Colorado since he began college in 1994. He is the father of three and is raising his children in this beautiful and progressive city. One of his goals as a father, is to teach his children to be compassionate towards others and to always help the community in which they live. He works hard to teach them the importance of working with others and lending a hand to families who have fallen onto hard times. His three children are all around their early teens, and he regularly takes them to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity during the summer and on the weekends.
Dematteis himself has been volunteering with the organization for over 15 years. He is passionate about creating buildings and structures and has a deep well of knowledge on construction and structural integrity. He has worked on dozens of projects in the Denver metro area, and with Flatirons Habitat for Humanity. He wants to teach his children, that it is important to spend time working in order to improve other peoples’ standard of living. He hopes to show them that helping others is a fulfilling experience that will improve their own lives as well as someone else’s.
Nicholas Dematteis is now a small business owner and though he is busier with work than he has ever been before, he intends to continue his humanitarian work. He hopes to find ways to donate unneeded construction materials to Habitat for Humanity, and to their ReStore outlet. He also hopes to provide pro bono engineering expertise on future projects in both the Boulder and Denver areas. He knows that as a successful business owner, he will be able to donate and offer more than just his time. Nicholas Dematteis is a talented engineer, an ambitious businessman, and a kind hearted humanitarian. He is looking forward to helping communities grown and improve.
