As the new basketball season is about to begin, new coach Wayne Preno looks to have another successful season. Preno brings a lot of experience to this year's Bengals basketball squad. A standout basketball player in high school, Preno continued to play basketball through college at Gwynedd Mercy College. After college, Preno stayed active in the community and had stints as a baseball, football, and soccer coach. When he is not coaching, Preno is the owner of two early childcare centers in the Philadelphia region.

Wayne Preno wants to use his collegiate basketball experience to help the Bengals succeed this year. Preno believes in controlling the backboards and playing fast-paced and exciting basketball. He wants his players to be in great condition and fundamentally sound. On defense, Preno favors man-to-man defense over zone defense. He wants his team to play tough man-to-man defense for the entire game and not let the opponent’s offense get into their plays. On the offensive side of the ball, Preno likes his players to be able to drive the ball and be able to kick it out to open teammates.

In the next few weeks, Preno will be busy preparing for tryouts. He is excited to get to work and pick the athletes he is going to work with for the next season. He is looking for his players to have a great work ethic. Preno knows that he can develop the basketball skills for his team to be successful. However, he knows that hard work cannot be taught. He is also looking for players that can work together and achieve the common good.

Preno knows the success that the Bustleton Bengals have had for the past several years, and he is looking to continue the tradition. He thinks that he has the skills and experience in coaching to challenge for the championship. He is willing to put the same effort into his coaching as he did for his childcare businesses. If the success of his business is any indication, Wayne Preno will have great success with the Bustleton Bengals for the 2015-16 basketball season
