For fourteen years, Motorsport grew into a national distributor of performance package parts throughout the United States. The company became well-known for its excellent work on high performance engines, boosting power and efficiency while considering safety concerns and industry standards. Motorsport worked with many professional racing teams in the Houston area during its first fourteen years, and helping people beef up their engines and make them more reliable.

Motorsport Technologies Houston, after fourteen years of working on engines to add power and reliability in Houston, closed in 2008. Cohen, a local Houston business leader, decided to pursue other opportunities. He reopened the shop because he wants to continue to cater to the local performance vehicle community.
