Motorsport Technologies, which closed temporarily in 2008, reopened in Houston.

Motorsport Technologies has reopened in Houston, company founder Jayson Cohen announced this week. Cohen started the company in 1994 to cater to the local performance car industry. For fourteen years, Motorsport grew into a national distributor of performance package parts throughout the United States. The company became well-known for its excellent work on high performance engines, boosting power and efficiency while considering safety concerns and industry standards. Motorsport worked with many professional racing teams in the Houston area during its first fourteen years, and helping people beef up their engines and make them more reliable.

Motorsport Technologies Houston, after fourteen years of working on engines to add power and reliability in Houston, closed in 2008. Cohen, a local Houston business leader, decided to pursue other opportunities. He reopened the shop because he wants to continue to cater to the local performance vehicle community. Cohen has a passion for performance cars, and he wants to share that passion with the community. Motorsport became famous for its excellent work on performance engines during its first run from 1994 to 2008. Cohen’s crew designed and constructed many performance packages for vehicles throughout the United States at the company’s height. When the company reopens its doors this year, it plans to add international clients to its customer base.

Motorsport Technologies Houston expanded during its first fourteen years beyond Houston to bring the best performance packages to clients throughout the country. The company ships performance package parts to private performance car owners in the United States to assist them in adding power and reliability to their beloved vehicles. Cohen, a performance vehicle enthusiast himself, knows that the work one puts into a performance engine shows on the road. Every small part in a customized performance package matters in the overall construction and power of the engine, and how it performs on the road.

Motorsport Technologies brought much to the Houston performance car industry over its first fourteen years of its existence. In another fourteen years, Cohen and his partners hope that they can expand the community of performance car owners in the coming years into the national and international markets.
