In 2007, one of the most remarkable pools began the transition from vision and idea, to design and construction. The pool was the vision of a wealthy industrialist looking to replace his old pool and terrace with a luxurious pool that would be a unique focal point. Understandably, such a project could not be trusted to just any construction firm, so the best was hired – Aspen Associates LLC.

Aspen Associates LLC was founded in 2000 by a man with a reputation for getting things done. Founder Michael Dommenge is known by many executives and wealthy individuals. His “consider it done” approach to business is a combination of his experience in management and problem solving abilities.

When founding Aspen Associates LLC, Michael Dommenge designated himself as the single point of contact. “Aspen Associates LLC works on one project at a time, so the client gets full and exclusive access to the company’s founder. Michael Dommenge also manages the entire project himself and works as decision maker, so clients are not bothered with details,” says an Aspen Associates LLC official.

When charged with the design and construction of the glass pyramid pool, Aspen Associates LLC first had to manage the demolition of the existing terrace before they could begin the construction of a new foundation, pool, terrace and pyramid structure. “Aspen Associates LLC ultimately landscaped over three acres, and built new terraces, fountains, and the indoor pool. The pool was then encased by a glass and steel pyramid inspired by the glass pyramid at the Louvre in Paris,” says the Aspen Associates LLC official.

It is possible Aspen Associates LLC will never have a project more costly or complex than the 18-ton glass pyramid pool. The Aspen Associates LLC founder admitted the glass pyramid pool may be the costliest and most complex project he would ever be hired to design or construct. However, Aspen Associates LLC will not turn down such a project in the future. Their “consider it done” philosophy does not permit Aspen Associates LLC to turn projects away. The company was designed to solve construction problems and find solutions where other design-construction firms would be incapable.
