Monica Truax is a highly accomplished young woman. At twenty-six years of age, she is working toward her Masters in Business Administration at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. In 2011, Monica Truax graduated from the University of Oregon in Corvallis with honors degrees in Marketing and Spanish.

This highly motivated young woman had a remarkably successful high school career. She never hesitated to get involved in an activity, and her résumé shows it. As a freshman, Monica Truax was her class president, a member of the Student Council, and a Corvallis High School peer mediator. She also participated in Leadership class. These achievements were among the factors that earned Monica Truax selection to the National Honor Society. When she graduated in 2006, Monica Truax was also her class Salutatorian, meaning she had the second-highest grade point average for her entire graduating class.

In addition to her stellar academic performance, Monica Truax excelled in sports at Corvallis High. She played girls’ varsity basketball for three years, and as a senior was credited with leading her team to a 43-39 upset over rival West Albany in the final game of her high school career. Monica Truax also played on the girls’ varsity soccer team for two years. She played on the Junior Varsity soccer team for two years.

After high school Monica Truax enrolled at Oregon State University, which kept her near her home in Corvallis. She continued to excel academically. In addition to earning Honors Degrees in Marketing and Spanish, Monica Truax also became a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the oldest and largest professional business fraternity in the United States. In June 2011, Monica Truax was awarded the fraternity’s prestigious Psi Award.

From Oregon State, Monica Truax continued on to graduate school at Willamette University in Salem. Once she has earned her MBA she plans to continue her education at San Diego State University, studying biology in its Honors Program.

Monica Truax has been employed at the Target Distribution Center and at the Marion Polk Food Share. Even with her goal-oriented approach to life, Monica Truax is a family-oriented person, and those close to her know a warm and fun-loving person.
