Mona Santos Ojeda, a highly successful financial planner who is currently based in New Jersey, is thrilled to announce her appointment as an Honorary Commander for the 305th Operations Support Group. This Air Force Unit is located on Joint Base McGuire Dix Lakehurst, New Jersey. For Mona Santos Ojeda, becoming an Honorary Commander is one of the highest honors she has achieved in life.

The 305th Operations Support Group, according to Mona Santos Ojeda, is a United States Air Force unit that has a number of purposes. This particular Operations Group has been active since the 1930s and also had a significant role during World War II.

“Being an Honorary Commander is very exciting,” says Mona Santos Ojeda. “It is also a great thing for the 305th Operations Support Group, which is represented in our community through myself and other Honorary Commanders.” Mona Santos Ojeda loves being involved in her community in any way she can. In fact, Mona Santos Ojeda is an active participant in her local community through a number of other events and programs, including several running groups and events as well as her local community theater.

According to Mona Santos Ojeda, the 305th Operations Support Group has a rich history in the United States and in Europe. For example, says Mona Santos Ojeda, this Air Force unit participated in air raids on Germany during the Second World War, and sustained some of the heaviest losses during the Schweinfurt-Regensburg mission in 1943. Additionally, the 305th Operations Support Group also pioneered a number of bomber flying formations and bombing procedures that are now standard procedures, says Mona Santos Ojeda.

Mona Santos Ojeda is a proud supporter of the United States Air Force, and is especially excited to witness the pursuits of her own two stepchildren. “They are both planning on enrolling in college soon,” says Mona Santos Ojeda, “and I could not be more proud. They will also be embarking on their future lives by enrolling in the military.” Mona Santos Ojeda hopes to continue with her involvement as an Honorary Commander of the 305th Operations Support Group.
