Maritza Kerekes is the Certified Bilingual School Psychologist, is dedicated to her current position.

 
Maritza Kerekes is a Licensed Psychologist and acupuncturist. She works as a Certified Bilingual School Psychologist. She provides an integral role in the school system in providing support and necessary resources to both students and faculty. As a Certified Bilingual School Psychologist, she conducts psychological assessments, group and individual counseling, and crisis intervention. She also does functional behavioral assessments, devises behavioral intervention and crisis management plan, provides teachers with consultation services, chairs CSE meetings, and supervises graduate psychology interns.

Maritza Kerekes is well educated and knowledgeable about psychology. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Holyoke College and majored in Psychology. She graduated Cum Laude from Mount Holyoke College in 1983. In 1991, she received her Masters degree in School Psychology and in 1993 she received her Doctor of Psychology degree, both from Pace University. During her time at Pace University, she was a Fellowship Teacher and taught Introduction to Psychology classes to undergraduate students. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Association of School Psychologists.

Maritza Kerekes enjoys listening to music and working out after work. She enjoys instrumental, classic, and music from 70’s because it relaxes her. She participates in weekly vbarre and core classes, as well as doing regular strength training exercises. She one day plans on opening a wellness and acupuncture spa center.
