Scott Benton Parrish helped raise money to create a Pop Warner football league some time ago. When the league finally got started after many months of hard work, Parrish took leadership of one of the teams, helping to guide his youngsters to a season of fun, hard work, and team bonding.. Parrish likes to see his team achieve greatness on and off the football field as a team.

Parrish fosters friendly competition on his team. He likes to see the kids working hard for a spot on the field on a regular basis. Parrish always tries to reward the kids on his team who work the hardest with regular playing time on the field so they can make their parents and their team proud. Parrish hopes that the lessons he has tried to instill in his players carry over to their everyday lives in the community he loves.

Parrish says that his greatest reward in working with the kids of his community is seeing them grow and mature both as young people and as football players. Parrish has long wanted to grow the youth athletic community in Oak Ridge, and his role as one of the community volunteers in the town has aided him in that quest.
