Linda Ellis is a writer, poet, and inspirational speaker who penned the famous and inspirational poem, “The Dash”. In 1996 while working in the corporate world, Linda penned and shared the poem with a local radio syndicate in Georgia. The poem was shared across the airwaves and became an overwhelming success. Since then the poem has been read by and inspired millions everywhere.

Linda Ellis grew up in Florida and later moved to New York. After spending several years in the Big Apple, she felt her southern roots calling her back. She moved to Georgia where she started her family and discovered her passion for writing.

Besides her family, nothing is more important to her than inspiring her fans through her compassionate and thoughtful work.

“Hearing from those who have been touched by my words is the greatest payment I could receive from my job. I want to write, more books, more poems, more inspirations. I want to travel more sharing the gift of the premise of "The Dash" with people.”

In addition to Linda Ellis' passion for writing, she is an active community member. She volunteers at the local homeless shelter and regularly delivers food and baked goods. Her family is incredibly important to her and when she isn't working she loves to spend time with her family, especially at the beach, a family favorite pastime.

“My dream job is to do just what I am doing, write. If life would stop interrupting me, I could do just that and produce inspirations daily.”
