In 2009, Les Schlais founded Syncis with his business partner, John Kim. Over just a few short years, Syncis has become a reputable company in the insurance industry, and is one of the top performing independent marketing organizations, especially as a distributor of IULs. As an independent marketing organization, Syncis works with many different insurance providers to help market and distribute their products. They have a specific focus on life insurance products, such as IULs (Indexed Universal Life insurance, which are policies that allow the purchaser to invest money in them as a life insurance policy without incurring taxes).

Prior to founding Syncis, Les Schlais has had extensive experience in the insurance business. He was working as a Radio Shack manager two decades ago when he decided to pursue a career in insurance. He started as a life insurance agent for Farmers Insurance Group, and later became an agency owner in Bakersfield, California. He then worked with World Financial Group and United Securities Alliance, two insurance broker dealers, in Bakersfield. In 2003, he moved to the Los Angeles area, where he became the president and owner of Retiring America, Inc. Retiring America is an independent marketing organization specializing in life insurance, and consistently ranked highly in target premiums under Schlais’s leadership.

Outside of work, Schlais loves spending time with his family, which includes his wife and six children, as well as four grandchildren. He loves organizing family get-togethers and spending time with his loved ones. He also loves to travel with his wife and kids. In high school, Schlais was a successful football player, and continues to stay active. Les Schlais hopes to continue to lead Syncis to improved growth and success through the next several years.
