Lawrence Starkman has spent his entire career working in real estate in the Chicago area. He is a very strong leader and talented broker and appraiser, and has worn many hats throughout his career. He has experience working in both commercial and residential real estate, and frequently switches back and forth between the two for various projects. In addition to working in sales and appraisal, he has also worked as a property manager, and currently manages over fifty different properties. He has also been involved in over 150 real estate partnerships throughout his career.

Lawrence Starkman received his Bachelor of Arts from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He later completed his MAI Designation from the Appraisal Institute. He is certified as an appraiser in both Illinois and Michigan, as well as being a certified broker in Chicago. He is a member of several organizations, including the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers, the National Association of Realtors, the North Side Real Estate Board, and the North Shore Real Estate Board. He has also served as the president of Windsor Management, Inc.

Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Board for both Illinois Appraisal Services and Sherwin Real Estate. He is also a board member for New Directions Housing, SomerCorp 504, and the Center for Radiation and Therapy. As a board member, he provides guidance and influence for many employees in Chicago real estate.

Outside of real estate, Starkman has many interests and hobbies. He is involved with the YMCA in Evanston as well as the Beth Ernet Synagogue. He received a community service award from the Skokie Chabad in 2011 for his dedication to outreach work. He is a passionate collector of fine art, and is also a history buff who loves to read in his down time. For more active hobbies, he enjoys playing handball and hunting.
