For Kim Tassinari, becoming an actress was a life-long dream. After spending the last 15 years working in a private medical practice in Los Angeles, California, Kim has retired and now spends her days working on her craft and honing her skills. Her hard work has already started to pay off with her appearing in several local television commercials. Shortly after retiring, Kim auditioned for the part of Lady Macbeth at the North Hollywood Repertory Theater. After blowing away the casting director with her poise, skill and preparation, she was given the role and has since appeared in several more plays throughout the region.

Growing up in Houston, Texas Kim Tassinari didn’t have a lot of acting opportunities, but that didn’t stop her. During high school, Kim participated in her school’s drama club, where she was able to develop her skills. When she left for college, Kim continued to participate in theater arts, participating in the school’s film club and starring in a few student-made films with her classmates from the drama department. However, as much as Kim loved acting, her parents convinced her to pursue a career in medicine. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Kim entered medical school, leaving her dream of becoming an actress behind.

For the next two decades, Kim studied and practiced medicine. She spent two years helping treat victims of violence and disease in the Congo, before returning to the United States to start her residency in Santa Monica. She completed her residency and opened a private practice in Los Angeles, California, enjoying her life with her husband and three children. For the next 15 years, she worked treating some of the biggest names in Hollywood and their families. After her last child had moved away from home, Kim made the decision to step away from everything she knew and retire from medicine.

It wasn’t long after Kim Tassinari retired before she made the decision to follow her life-long dream and pursue a career in acting. With the support of her family, Kim got professional headshots taken and began going to auditions, setting herself on the path of becoming a star.
