Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger has been dedicated to higher education and improving the learning experience in the classroom throughout her entire career.

 
Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger has been dedicated to higher education and improving the learning experience in the classroom throughout her entire career. Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger is a veteran university administrator, having worked at New Jersey City University, St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, New York, and Middlesex Community College in Middletown, Connecticut. In these positions, Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger has had the opportunity to redefine the learning experience and create more efficient classrooms and teacher-student relationships.

Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger was also a Professor of English and Academic Advisement Coordinator at Middlesex College for five years. She spent five years at Briarwood College as Professor of English, ESL Program Director, and English Department Coordinator. Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger holds a BA in Classics from The University of California, Irvine, and an MA in English and Comparative Literature from San Diego State University. She received her Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature from The University of Athens in 1997.

Along with her administrative experience, Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger has conducted research to develop cutting-edge ideas about higher education. She has published numerous essays and articles that have been circulated in well-respected journals and publications. The thrust of these essays has been to challenge conventional wisdom about education and human intelligence, and promote ideas that address modern day issues in the classroom.

Among the writings of Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger are “Current Trends in Academic Advising, Using Multiple Intelligences to Engage Adult Learners in the Writing/ESL Classroom,” and “Getting to Know the Greeks Through Gestures and Facial Expressions.” She is the author of two books, and has received several accolades for her work.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for research and the new ideas they present,” says Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger. As a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities as well as the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger is able to network with other leaders in education and exchange fresh ideas.

Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger is a hard worker, driven, and has proven repeatedly that she is good at what she does. She uses her own experiences and those of her family, friends, and colleagues to inspire research ideas and topics. Though her academic career continues to blossom, Katerina Andriotis-Baitinger aims to keep her family a priority in her life.
