Katerina Andriotis has written about the Multiple Intelligence Paradigm

 
Katerina Andriotis has earned a Masters degree in English and Comparative Literature and a Ph.D. in American Literature, Culture and Ideology. She is the author of several books, and loves the process of researching and writing.

The first book by Katerina Andriotis was called Walt Whitman and Odysseus Elytis: Beyond Being and Time, and was published by Tate Publishing in 2010. The book is an analysis and interpretation of the work of Walt Whitman and Odysseus Elytis.

Her second book, Multiple Intelligences and Curriculum Development
Shifting the Teaching and Learning Paradigm in Higher Education through Humor and Technology, was published by Tate Publishing in 2012, and is an examination of the Multiple Intelligence paradigm, developed by Howard Gardner.

“The ‘One-Size-Fits-All outdated instructional model does not apply to our students anymore,” Katerina Andriotis wrote, adding that “Many students’ approach to learning requires tools that they do not possess. In other words, ‘If the only tool you have is a hammer, everything around you looks like a nail...’”
Katerina Andriotis has served in many professional capacities. She is currently on the Scheduling Task Force at Kean University. She is also a member of Kean University’s
Advising Task Force, the
University Planning Council, and the Chair of Kean’s
Enrollment Management Committee. Katerina Andriotis was also on the Search Committee of the Director of the Educational Opportunities Center at Kean University in 2012.

Katerina Andriotis has presented her research at many professional conferences, on subjects like academic advising and multiple intelligences. She is the former Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, and a past Dean of Arts and Sciences at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue, New York.

Katerina Andriotis recently secured approval from the Department of Education of State of New York to proceed with a new Assessment Consulting Company called Assessment Plus, Higher Education Consulting Services, and is based in New York. Katerina Andriotis has published extensively in academic journals. In her spare time she supports many worthy causes, including Suicide Awareness and Prevention and the National Disability Mentoring Program.
Katerina Andriotis is a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities and the Council of Colleges of Arts and Sciences.
