Karl Fritschen is dedicated to the pursuit and belief of a proper education, which is why he personally chose to pursue a Master’s degree in Regional and City Planning from the University of Oklahoma and graduated in 1994

Karl Fritschen is an individual who believes in a strong education, one that extends far past your enrollment period at any academic institution. While you do attend a university however, it should be a quality one, which is why Karl chose the University of Oklahoma, for its rich history and sense of tradition, one best depicted by the official school website itself, which states, “The Seed Sower is an emblem of our first president, David Ross Boyd. Boyd walked across the Oklahoma prairies sowing the seeds of education and literally planting many trees throughout the region. Our Seed Sower statue stands at the entrance to the beautiful South Oval as a reminder that the Sooner community continues to sow important seeds that will blossom for generations to come.

“There is nothing quite like hearing 85,000 devoted fans chant “Boomer Sooner” at OU football games (and many other OU events). In the “Oklahoma Land Run,” settlers from across the globe, seeking free land, made their way to Oklahoma Territory to stake their claim to a new life. One of the few rules to claiming land was that all participants were to start at the same time. Those who went too soon were called “Sooners.” Those who started on time were called “Boomers.” Eventually, “Sooner” came to be a synonym of Progressivism.

The Sooner is an “energetic individual who travels ahead of the human procession.” He is prosperous, ambitious, and a “can-do” individual. And Oklahoma is the Sooner State, the land of opportunity. “OU is fortunate to have a president, David L. Boren, who continues to have a significant impact on our campus. He is student-centered and accessible. In fact, President Boren is one of only a few university presidents to teach a class each semester. As a Rhodes Scholar, former Oklahoma governor and U.S. Senator, he has a global perspective and international connections.”

Karl Fritschen says that schools like the University of Oklahoma are fine examples of institutions still willing to put quality of education and experience of their students above personal profits at the cost of an individual’s education. Karl would recommend the school to anyone interested in going there who genuinely wants to improve academically.
