Always concerned about the status of the wild life today, Karl Fritschen has been affiliated with the National Wildlife Federation for many years.

There are many people who are unaware of the condition that the environment is in and how it effects the local wildlife. Some people are interested in helping wildlife and finding a way to make an impact, but do not find the way to help make a change. Then there are people like Karl Fritschen.

Karl Fritschen has always been a man who was concerned with all parts of the environment. One of the areas of concern that he has the most is about wildlife. Not wanting to stand by the wayside and not do anything, Karl Fritschen decided to find a way to make a difference for the wildlife. That is why he has been affiliated with the National Wildlife Foundation for years. This city planner and landscape architect found a way to contribute simply because he cares.

All across America there are habitats for animals to live on both public and private properties that are being squeezed out. These animals are pushed away from their home and not given a place to nest and raise their young. On top of this issue, is the issue of climate change, an epidemic that is truly effecting the migrations of wildlife around the world. These animals are faced with big issues that they cannot defeat on their own. That is where people like Karl Fritschen who partner with the National Wildlife Foundation come in.

Additionally, climate change has already had a serous effect in the Rocky Mountain States, an area where Karl Fritschen truly enjoys recreating. Winters over the past several decades have become increasingly warmer and as a result has allowed proliferation of the pine bark beetle. This nasty little bug has killed tens of millions of pine forest all throughout the western states and in Canada. Scientist are now worried that that is tiny bug will move into parts of the south and decimate the southern pines. If this happens, the timber and paper industries will be severally impacted hurting local economies. Karl believes that this small insect is a foreteller of things to come and how complete ecosystems are poised to change.

The National Wildlife Federation has been able to help in the process of protecting these habitats and the animals that live within them. The NWF works diligently to aid in the improvement of federal and state policies that will directly have an impact on the wildlife conservations across America.

If it were not for the creations of the National Wildlife Federation and similar organizations, there could be even more animals on the endangered list or completely extinct. Thus, the impact is clearly seen when people are able to see a Florida panther, a crane migrations, or even a grizzly bear.

Proud to be associated with such an organization, Karl Fritschen hopes to aid in the continuation of the federation’s goals to help protect habitats and ensure healthy and long lives for the wildlife for future generations to enjoy.
