The oil and gas industry in the US has undergone many changes throughout the years. More and more companies are trying to find oil sources here in the United States and on foreign grounds. Our ports are slowly coming back from a severe crash that occurred back in the early 1970's. In an attempt to review the market, Jimmy Carter signed an executive order in April 1979 that was to remove market controls from petroleum products by October 1981, so that prices would be wholly determined by the free market. Ronald Reagan signed an executive order on January 28, 1981, which enacted this reform, which allowed the free market to adjust oil prices in the US.

Looking at it in a business perspective, oil and gas represent global commerce on a massive scale. Energy markets around the world are continually expanding and spend billions of dollars annually to maintain and increase their oil and gas production. The geopolitical side of oil and gas is probably the most talked about. Everyday, large quantities of oil and gas flow daily from "exporting" regions such as the Middle East and Africa.

Josh Jambon is an experienced businessman who saw great potential in the port area of Louisiana. He founded Jambon Marine Service, LLC, a boat rental company that specializes in providing offshore support vessels to the international oil and gas industry. They offer companies a choice from deep-water vessels, jack-up barges, inland tugs and crew boat barges. All of their vessels are equipped with the latest technology to make sure each job is done both effectively and safely.

They also offer other services such as superior management of oceangoing vessels for offshore transportation. Their vessels assist an oil company with production, drilling, diving, construction and environmental operations. Jambon aligned itself with the largest provider of independent technical management, which ensures that the operational efficiency and physical condition of each vessel is in compliance with all industry regulations. They have many office locations from which their vessels can be managed. The Josh Jambon network currently has 17 offices that are able to offer local expertise within an international network for both cargo and offshore vessels. These primary offices are supported by a larger network of representative offices, which total 62 offices worldwide.
