Joseph Dale Guerrieri has been in the tire industry for 40 years, but his heart is in the writing of poetry. As a matter of fact, Joseph Dale Guerrieri is also a veteran of the Vietnam War, which has inspired much of his work to date. However, much of Joseph Dale Guerrieri’s work was also inspired by the time he's spent traveling all over the world.

According to Joseph Dale Guerrieri, studying cultures of many countries all over the world has been an enormous influence on his work as a poet. In addition to studying the great poets of the Western world, Joseph Dale Guerrieri has also used his travel to learn more about poets worldwide. From the Latin American greats like Borges to the Persian mystic Rumi, Joseph Dale Guerrieri has read and drawn inspiration from poets everywhere.

As such, Joseph Dale Guerrieri is pleased to announce plans in the work for his next journey. Joseph Dale Guerrieri plans to travel around countries that have rich histories with ancient civilizations. For instance, Joseph Dale Guerrieri would love to visit the Mayan temples of Tikal in Guatemala, as well as Machu Picchu in Peru. Joseph Dale Guerrieri hopes to round out his trip with a visit to the pyramids of Egypt.

“Learning about ancient cultures has been an academic passion of mine,” says Joseph Dale Guerrieri, who has a vested interest in the study of archeology. “But learning about these cultures by visiting the sites where they lived is not just an academic interest – it is deeply inspiring!”

The work of Joseph Dale Guerrieri has, to date, shown a focus on the meaning of life and enlightenment. However, Joseph Dale Guerrieri also believes that learning about the past can help people achieve true understanding of the present and future.
