John T Yeska Jr is someone who believes in the power of community service. He has spent many years volunteering in his community, doing what he can to help those that are less fortunate. In 2001, John received a special tribute from John Engler, Governor of Michigan, and Mike Goschka, State Senator for Michigan’s 33rd District. The Citizens Award, a special tribute for outstanding community involvement, was presented to John for his countless hours of dedication to volunteer work. One of the many places he volunteered at was the Michigan State University Museum in East Lansing, Michigan.

Since receiving the Citizens Award, John T Yeska Jr relocated to Tampa, Florida where he picked up his relentless drive to provide his time to local non-profit community services. Shortly after his arrival in Florida, John connected with the local office for the Special Olympics Foundation. Upon first meeting the director and other volunteers of the local chapter, John realized that their goals and mission were in line with what he believed in and what he was hoping to accomplish during his time as a volunteer.

John T Yeska Jr soon began helping at the local chapter whenever his busy schedule permitted. He volunteers to help out at the chapter in whatever they need as well as volunteering at local events. John says the best part of spending his time with the Special Olympics organization is the pure joy and pride of the athletes for their amazing accomplishments. John says he could be more grateful for the opportunity he has been given to spend time with some truly amazing individuals.

John T Yeska Jr spends a lot of his time volunteering for several local community organizations in his hometown of Tampa, Florida. Along with his volunteerism, John is studying to become a commercial airline pilot and is planning on taking the Florida bar exams in 2016. Even with his busy schedule, John says that he will never be too busy to volunteer his time to his community and those that are in need. He has been very fortunate in life and wanted nothing more than to pay it forward.
