Jean Elaine Leveque has a great love of baking and enjoys spending time cooking with her three beautiful daughters. She first discovered this love of baking when she was introduced to who is now her mother-in-law. Through her she learned several techniques for learning how to cook delicious and healthy meals. She also learned how much fun baking desserts and other goodies can be. She was also taught how to cook several traditional Peruvian dishes and bake Peruvian desserts. Jean’s husband and his family have a Peruvian heritage, and she hopes to one day visit Peru to learn more about their culture. Overtime, Jean began to excel at creating great Peruvian dishes. She took a family recipe for the Peruvian cookie, alfajores, and added a modern spin to create a delicious cookie.

Jean has a background in marketing as she has worked a technology marketing consultant for several years. Her background in Real Estate and Technology start-ups gave her the skills and experience needed to excel as a marketing consultant. Her schooling as also aided in developing those skills as she gained her Associate’s Degree in accounting and also studied acting for a brief amount of time. With the skills provided by her background and work, Jean was able to begin her own small business.

Jean first started selling cookies as a fundraiser for one of her daughter’s dance team. The sale was a huge success, and it was from there that Jean realized that her baking could be more than just a hobby. Using her marketing skills, Jean was able to establish a website to sell and ship her cookies to people using the internet. She plans on expanding her businesses and is working on opening a storefront in Denver, Colorado. She hopes that when the business picks up she will be able to commit to it full-time and develop more delicious Peruvian dishes for it.
