Table tennis enthusiasts, like Igor Solonkovich, are preparing for the 2016, New Jersey State Table Tennis Championships. Igor spends his days sitting behind a desk as an IT professional. Igor learned to play table tennis at work party functions and during his lunch breaks at his office. Igor is also a competitive tennis player and believes that his athletic background will help him during the tournaments. Igor Solonkovich was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Growing up, he learned how to play tennis as his father, and soon became competitive in the sport. After moving to Ramsey, New Jersey for his career, Igor continued to work on mastering his game and continues to compete in local games in order to stay competitive. As a way to have some fun and take much needed breaks from his busy career, Igor began playing table tennis at his office. This quickly turned into challenging colleagues at work parties. Igor has even gotten his two children involved in the activity in order to spend as much time with them as possible.
Igor Solonkovich has been an IT professional for over 20-years. He began his career in Saint Petersburg, Russia where he earned a degree in Computer Science. After working for several years in Russia, Igor was given the opportunity to accept an IT position in Ramsey, New Jersey. Over the last 15-years, Igor has worked hard and become a Tier 3 Support Specialist for a large corporation in New Jersey.
Igor Solonkovich has become certified in several Microsoft applications including Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate among others. Igor spends his days managing thousands of servers, websites, and backup and storage devices. Igor often finds himself having to work 24-hour shifts, which makes the time he spends away from the office, even more, enjoyable. Igor is married and is the father of two young children. When he is not busy working he enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors and along the East Coast.
