Greg Gottfried is an experienced professional in the customer service industry. He is worked as a Sales Associate in retail for Calvin Klein, Aeropostale, and The Gap. He was employed as a host for Olive Garden, Applebee's and Ruby Tuesday's. He is currently worked as a Front Desk Agent for the Sheraton Tarrytown Hotel in New York. He enjoys working in customer service because it allows him to help people, interact with guests and customers, and be social while on the job.

As much as Greg Gottfried enjoys working in customer service, he is now trying to get away from the industry in an effort to pursue a longtime passion of his; writing.

Greg Gottfried has been interested in writing since he was in high school. He attended Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, New York where he focused his studies on Film and Screenwriting. He reads both novels and screenplays often in an effort to improve his writing skills, style, and structure. His favorite authors are Lee Child, Vince Flynn, and Howard Gordon and his favorite screenplays are Scream by Kevin Williamson, Collateral by Stuart Beattie, and Vacancy by Mark L. Smith.

Greg Gottfried is enjoys reading a wide spectrum of genres by a variety of authors. He finds that the more he reads, the more self-critical he is able to be of his writing skills. His ability to be self-critical has pushed him to try new things and he recently wrote a teleplay for one of his favorite television shows, 24.

His reading and screenplay writing experience has pushed him to start his first novel. The novel is a thriller that has been outlined to be 300 to 400 pages long. He is developing a story arc that will shock and surprise his readers. He hopes this will not be his last novel and plans on writing as many novels as he can get published.

In the meantime though, he plans on continuing his work in customer service as a means to support his hobby of writing. Customer service is still a passion of his and he understands that becoming a successful writer takes patience and experience.
