Frank Zaccanelli has played an important role in the revitalization of Dallas Texas. His most recent endeavor was the renovation of The Statler Hotel & Residences. Prior to the hotel remodeling, he was responsible for the transformation of a contaminated area, turning it into American Airlines Arena, home to the Mavericks. He not only transformed the land, making it useable but also helped the NBA Mavericks turnaround from a non-stop losing streak. He was offered the opportunity to invest in the Dallas Mavericks and quickly took the deal.

The NBA team was having difficulties after some early successes in 1988-89. After that, the NBA team went downhill fast, ending with a 38-44 record for the year. To top it off, they experienced a twelve game losing streak that same year. Some pretty rough years followed, until the mid-1990s when Frank Zaccanelli purchased the team and began to restructure it from the ground up. He along with a few partners took the reins and led the Dallas Mavericks in 1996. After revitalizing the team spirit, he helped to build the team’s new home, the American Airlines Center.
Dallas Texas is growing by leaps and bounds and luring investors who are bringing an array of new projects to its down town. There are many reasons for the driving interest, but a growing downtown residential base is at its focal point.
