Retired Chief Deputy Procurement Officer of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration Susan M. Taylor consults with many companies in the Washington, DC area.

 
Susan M. Taylor spent almost thirty years working in different federal government agencies. Most recently, she was the Chief Deputy Procurement Officer for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans Health Administration. She retired from that position in November of 2014, and now works as a consultant for private businesses working with government entities. Her experience as a procurement officer and contract director makes her an invaluable asset to many different companies competing for government contracts and working with the federal government. Taylor says that her work gave her contact with many of the hardest-working company leaders in Washington.
Susan M. Taylor made many friends during her time in government service. She plans on using those connections to continue her work into her retirement. Taylor is one of those people who cannot stop working. She loved her job within the government in various capacities, and she says that she is looking forward to a life in the private sector. Taylor worked at Ginnie Mae, a government entity that provides affordable housing to millions of families by working with mortgage companies to give consumers fair and favorable mortgage rates. Taylor was the Director of Contracting at Ginnie Mae for nearly nine years and was responsible for directing the organization’s policy, planning and execution of all awarding actions for contractors. Ginnie Mae is a $14 billion agency working with the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Susan M. Taylor spent a life in public service because she believes in the power of effective government. She has used her extensive experience and skill in various government positions to build a home and a life for her family in the Washington, DC area. She worked in the federal government for herself and her family. She hopes to work as a consultant in the private sector during her retirement.
