Dr. Cathy Swain-Jones, a New Orleans, Louisiana OB/GYN physician is currently living in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. With over 20-years of experience and extensive medical knowledge, Dr. Swain-Jones is working in a large teaching hospital to help the nation train their future doctors.

During her time in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Swain-Jones was asked by the Al Noor Hospitals Group to present at the 9th International Conference of Al Noor Hospitals. The conference covered various topics relating to obstetrics and gynecology, and Dr. Swain-Jones' presentation addressed the issue of Current Trends in the Management of Leiomyomas. It is Dr. Swain-Jones' hope to travel to impoverished areas of third world countries shortly to assist, develop, and improve the medical care of those most in need.

Dr. Cathy Swain-Jones earned her doctor of medicine degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine in May 1990. She went on to complete her residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in the area of Obstetrics and Gynecology, receiving her medical license in 1991 from the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Six years after completing her residency, Dr. Swain-Jones participated in an apprenticeship in Urogynecology, completing the program in 2005.

During her 20 plus years as a practicing physician, Dr. Cathy Swain-Jones has participated in a number of continuing education training programs earning several certifications, including gynecologic laparoscopy, advanced operative laparoscopy, and hysteroscopy, da Vinci Robotic training, and K2 fetal monitoring training. These certifications allow Dr. Swain-Jones to increase her skills and provide her patients with the best possible service.

Along with continuing her education, Dr. Swain-Jones is a member of several professional organizations. Along with being a diplomat for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, she is also a Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetrician and Gynecologists and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Swain-Jones is a well-respected physician who strives to provide her patients with the highest quality of service and give them options. Over the last several years, Dr. Swain-Jones has concentrated her practice in minimally invasive surgery and vaginal reconstructive surgery and Urogynecology.
