Dr. William Colom has been working with those in the New London County community for the past 37 years. He serves patients as a board certified specialist in Internal Medicine. Dr. William Colom is an involved member of Connecticut’s medical community. In addition to his role at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, where he is a member of the senior staff, Dr. William Colom also is a member of the New London County Medical Association and the Connecticut State Medical Association. He serves as both President and a physician at Southeastern CT Medical Associates.

Known as “Dr. C” to his patients, Dr. William Colom enjoys both the respect of his peers and the loyalty of his patients. Dr. William Colom is respected by his peers for his dedication to his patients and his skill as a diagnostician. In his 37 years serving the New London County community, Dr. William Colom has had the privilege of working with many of the same patients for many years. He now continues his work with many of their children.

“It is an honor to have served this community for the last 37 years,” said Dr. William Colom, “I am glad to know that those around me appreciate the work I do. For me, that is the best sign that I am accomplishing my goals for my patients.” Dr. William Colom’s first goal is that his patients have a comfortable experience when visiting his office. Dr. William Colom keeps in mind that when people come to see him, it is often due to physical discomfort. “Knowing that my patients are often uncomfortable because of some medical issue, I make sure that they are as comfortable and well-informed as possible during their visit. I do everything I can to make an unpleasant situation as pleasant as I can,” says Dr. William Colom.

Dr. William Colom is also known for his caring approach. He pays personal attention to each patient, which has garnered the respect of the New London County community. It would seem that Dr. William Colom has succeeded at his goal and gained the respect of his peers and patients in the New London area.
