New Residency in Florida, New Property Management Career, and Devotion to Christian Values Marks the Second Chapter of Donald Westra Jr. M.D.

Donald Westra Jr. M.D. was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morganton, North Carolina from 2003 to 2011. In his residence in Bradenton, Florida, Westra has been a member of the Bradenton Christian Reformed Church from 2012 to the present, and was a Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Bradenton from 2001 to 2003. As a retiree now himself, Donald Westra once possessed medical licensure in North Carolina and in Florida, though he is now actively involved in Christian medical missions around the globe to give succor to those in developing countries and emergency medical care to those in war-torn areas of the globe.

Donald Westra Jr. M.D. has entered his second career in Florida as a property manager and developer, overseeing rental properties in his Westra Properties LLC group. Even while aspiring to add more acquisitions to his company’s assets, Westra takes the time to indulge some of his favorite pastimes. Westra is raising his two teenage children in North Carolina, while giving back through his medical missions to Venezuela, Peru and Zimbabwe. Always an aficionado of exotic autos, Westra is a member of the Suncoast Porsche Club, where he shares his passion with other Porsche owners and admirers. Continuing his physician’s dedication to health, Westra enjoys running, tennis and horseback riding in addition to working out with a fitness routine. Westra is a member of the Bradenton Country Club where he enjoys relaxing in his spare time.

Donald Westra Jr. M.D. is now retired from his 34-year career as an ob/gyn in North Carolina and Florida. Even though Westra now devotes himself to a second career in property management, overseeing the property assets of his firm, Westra Properties, Westra’s lifelong devotion to his Church and his beliefs has led him into a more intense study of the Bible and God’s word.

Ordinary Christians study the Bible as a personal and spiritual practice, a devotional act which is distinctly different from biblical studies, which are undertaken as an academic discipline. The personal Bible study of Donald Westra Jr. M.D. may be referred to as ‘devotions’, a time during which the Evangelical Protestant may read from the Bible and engage in prayer and meditation.
