“To be philanthropic is an obvious choice for me,” says Daniel Harvey Riggs. “After all,” he goes on to say, “the city of Reno, Nevada has always been kind to me. It is definitely my home.”

“I look for ways to help wherever I can,” explained Daniel Harvey Riggs. “I am really fond of reaching out to local chapters of philanthropic organizations and seeing what I can do, either through my writing or by volunteering in person, to help them out.”

Daniel Harvey Riggs’s deep commitment to Reno, Nevada can be traced at least as far back as his years at the University of Nevada’s Reynolds School of Journalism. After his time there, Daniel Harvey Riggs went on to have a very successful career in journalism. He has won numerous awards, including the Steve Martarano Award for Best Published Article.
