Clayton Perlman is a successful businessman and realtor with 30 years of experience in the real estate industry. He began his career working for his family’s real estate company, Perlman Properties where he learned the fundamentals of the real estate business.

Perlman began his career in the mid-1980s and has seen the real estate market go through many changes. Some of those, like the housing boom of the mid 2000s were strong times for the industry whereas the economic downturn of 2008 was not so good. However, through it all, his passion for the industry has never wavered and his business continues to grow not matter which way the economic winds blow.

Part of the reason that he has been so successful is the fact that his career has afforded him a wide range of experiences to draw on. During his time with Perlman Properties he worked as both a superintendent and an acquisitions agent giving him a firm grasp of the regulations and codes that given the industry and the financial side of it. Near the turn of the century, he began to work at the New York Mercantile Exchange which gave him valuable insight into the oil and gas industries as well as teaching him a lot about the wider financial industry and its impact on the real estate market.
After little over half a decade working for the New York Mercantile Exchange, Perlman returned to the real estate and set up a business in New Jersey where he began developing housing properties. He eventually expanded his business to include the ownership of a marina in Keyport, NJ, where he has combined his passion for real estate with a life-long passion for boating and fishing.

Despite his active business career, Perlman still maintains an active lifestyle and makes time to spend with his family and pursue his personal interests such as boating, taking walks with his dogs and playing the guitar.
