Chukwuma Gwude, local volunteer and community leader, was recently honored by the city of Austell, Georgia for his efforts to improve his local community. As an adamant and passionate volunteer, Chukwuma Gwude is proud to be the recipient of Austell’s “Volunteer of the Year” award, though he recognizes that there is always more to be done.

Both Chukwuma and his family are devoted volunteers that constantly participate in philanthropic activity. Chukwuma Gwude has worked hard to make community service a core family value, which is reflected in the countless hours and days both him and his family dedicate to active community volunteerism. The City of Austell is proud to have such committed and generous citizens in its midst. City leaders recognize the ongoing need for volunteers like Chukwuma Gwude, who make outreach and charitable efforts both possible and effective.

Austell, Georgia is a relatively small community, yet they face many of the same issues of homelessness, poverty and strife common to larger and more populous areas. Chukwuma Gwude acknowledges that while his family works hard to build and maintain a safe and pleasant Austell community, much more can always be done to improve the lives of its citizens. He encourages his friends, neighbors and coworkers to commit themselves to some sort of charitable effort; something that can have a real and lasting impact on a disadvantage population.

Chukwuma Gwude is involved, in part, because of his strong Christian faith. He actively attends his local church and makes an effort to share his faith with others. Chukwuma Gwude believes that the guidance of the Christian faith has made the need to donate time even stronger. A faithful Christian from a very early age, Chukwuma is committed to the teachings of the Bible.

He believes that everyone can use a helping hand from time to time, and that anyone with a little extra room on their schedule should at least consider the societal benefits of volunteerism. Chukwuma Gwude is dedicated to the idea that everyone has a duty to contribute to less fortunate people, and that the world would be a much better place if everyone took just a little time to give back.
