Christopher Braud has known for a very long time that he wanted to be a dentist. In fact, it is the only thing he can ever remember wanting to be when he grew up, as a child. In school, Christopher Braud worked diligently and with great results toward this goal, graduating from Louisiana State University magna cum laude in 2009 and receiving his DDS from LSU’s School of Dentistry in 2013. Even before graduation, Christopher Braud had his sights set on a job, and recently he landed that job: he is now an associate of general dentistry at Oak Harbor Family Dentistry in Slidell, LA.

Getting the job was an important step for Christopher Braud, who seeks to grow professionally and continue to improve his skill set both in terms of technical ability and patient care. Oak Harbor Family Dentistry has a reputation for excellence, and already in his short time at the clinic Christopher Braud has begun to make a name for himself as a dentist of exceptional zeal and compassion. Patients gravitate to his friendly, outgoing attitude and his obvious passion for the work like moths to a flame, and Christopher Braud already has many patients asking for him by name at the clinic.

“It feels really good, there is no doubt about that,” says Christopher Braud about his time at Oak Harbor thus far. “I believe it is a very good fit for me professionally and for the clinic as a whole. I’ve had the good fortune to deal with some of the best patients around, and so far it has been a one hundred percent positive experience overall.”

Christopher Braud’s successes have not gone to his head, however. “I know that, at the end of the day, I may be having some success, but I have a long way to go in terms of my professional development. I have so much to learn still, and I try to keep my eyes and ears open all the time. I try to learn from what’s going on all around me, all the time, whether it is from an experience with a patient or from a more experienced dentist. There is always something to learn if you have the mindset for it.”
