Every time you anonymously donate a dollar you are indirectly helping someone in need. You may never be thanked in person for the assistance you have provided someone but the positive feeling associated with generosity is there. University student Cami Libdan has a tendency to reach out and help others. For her part, Cami Libdan tends to help people and their dreams and needs surrounding education.

Cami Libdan began helping others as a student. Blessed with an aptitude for understanding coursework material, Cami Libdan often helped students struggling with material. She felt good tutoring others and the review of coursework helped her to maintain her high academic standard. She tutored two subjects as a student: math and coursework from her Anatomy & Life Science course.

Tutoring other students can be a challenge and caused Cami Libdan to develop multiple ways of explaining material. Her experience as a tutor led Cami Libdan into another area of teaching, mainly to help foreign students learn English. As a former study abroad student, Cami Libdan was familiar with the challenges of learning a second language and the gratitude students have when they can practice with a nonjudgmental native speaker.

While Cami Libdan makes plans to begin teaching English to foreign students, she has already been a regular volunteer for an organization that supports education in a third world country. Cami Libdan regularly volunteers for a family-owned non-profit organization that supports and manages a third world country grade school. Her specific role is the creation and design of the non-profit’s Facebook content. In a world where everything is online, Cami Libdan helps the organization stay up-to-date in order to attract and maintain supporters and donators.

Already, Cami Libdan has impacted the lives around her. The university student may not realize the true depth of her reach because in many ways, her work seems normal and simple. However, for the students she has helped, her impact has made the difference between pass and fail. Her work helps keep a school with children in an underprivileged community funded, and eventually, she will help students perfect their English skills. Cami Libdan has already positively impacted dozens of lives and will continue to help dozens more.
