Brad Lomas is Excited to See the Philadelphia Eagles in NFC East First Place

Brad Lomas and other Philadelphia Eagles fans have high hopes for this NFL season.

As of October 20th, 2015, the Philadelphia Eagles have won three of their last four games and have subsequently taken first place in the NFC East. While many fans, such as Brad Lomas, couldn't be happier about this, an equal number of fans are less than confident in the beloved team.

Despite three back-to-back victories, fans are pointing out that the quality of the Eagles' opponents is lacking. Their win against the New York Giants was “dirty” by many accounts and it appears that the team has been stuck with a terrible division this season.

The game against the Giants started with the Eagles losing by seven points as they watched the New York Giants take the ball 80 yards in eight plays. Past that, though, the Giants fell apart and they practically handed the game to the Eagles, complete with gift wrap. The game concluded with the Eagles in the lead 27-7. That's just a glimpse of how the rest of the division is performing.
Terrible division or not, though, there's no arguing that the Philadelphia Eagles could be a legitimately capable team this year. The one thing that fans can focus on for now is that the team is winning games. If they keep it up, they might see post-season play.

The Eagles are currently ahead of the New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins. As with any division lead, fans such as Lomas are hopeful. Watching your team make first place in their division early on is enough to get most fans excited.

On top of the lead the Philadelphia Eagles have in their division, their recent wins have put them in 9th place on ESPN's NFL Power Rankings. That's a jump of six places given that the week prior they were ranked 15th.

Before this season started, the Philadelphia Eagles traded their quarterback Nick Foles for Sam Bradford in a deal with the Rams. Bradford's performance has been shaky and he's been struggling with interceptions, but the team is confident that they'll “get it fixed” in the next few games.

Only time will tell if the Eagles are going to keep progressing up the ESPN Power Rankings and hold first in their division. On one hand, they're playing well, but on the other, the new quarterback Sam Bradford still needs to prove himself.

Regardless, fans like Brad Lomas will continue supporting the Philadelphia Eagles. Maybe with enough cheer from Philadelphia locals, the Eagles will keep winning their games.
